Services in September 

Guest preacher - 8 September
We have a special visitor to Central in September - Bishop Nortey from Lagos.  He will be joint leading the service with Emmanuel on 1 September and will take worship himself next week, 8 September.  We welcome Bishop Nortey and wish him a blessed and enjoyable stay in our country.

Bishop Nortey was born in Ghana, and was educated there and in Nigeria. He was ordained in 1990 and consecrated Bishop in 2010. 

He served as a member of the Examination Board for probationers; Constitution Review Committee; Member, Methodist/ Catholic Dialogue in Nigeria; Chairman Conference Board for Children/Youth Work; Project Coordinator for Establishment of Wesley University Ondo, Nigeria; Secretary, Provincial Council of Wesley University, Ondo, Nigeria; Chairman of the Governing Board of Hassan Odukale Methodist Theological Institute, Zonkwa, Kaduna State.
 
He is a member of Methodist Church Nigeria Committee on Liturgy; Member, Board of Governors, Immanuel College of Theology and Christian Education, Samonda Ibadan; a member of Welfare Policy Review Committee of the Methodist Church Nigeria. He has anchored Ecumenical HIV/AIDS Initiative and advocacy Programmes in Nigeria for the World Council of Churches. He has passion for Human Resource Development; sound Liturgical Development for the Church; and Contextual African Theological Reflections.

Battle of Britain Memorial Service
On Sunday 29 September the RAF Association will hold their annual Battle of Britain Memorial Service at Central at 3pm. Members of our church are welcome to attend.
